This lovely lass is Alba, a black labrador dog we flew to the Gold Coast Australia this week. Flying pets to Australia, and especially the Gold Coast is one of the most common pet transport destinations we service. Whether you are flying dogs, flying cats or both, here are our hot Pet Transport tips for moving pets to the Gold Coast, Australia from New Zealand successfully:
3 Do's and Don't's for Moving Pets To Gold Coast:
1. Do let your travelling pets have constant access to their travel cage up until they fly. Playtime, treats, used socks of yours inside? All that good stuff.
2. Don't plan travel on weekends. AQIS ( the Australian Quarantine Inspection Services) are closed on the weekends in Gold Coast (also closed on weekends in Adelaide, Cairns and Darwin)
3. Do skip breakfast! It is more comfortable for your pet to travel on an empty stomach. It also minimised toilet mess for them. We ensure they have a fresh supply of water and pre-flight snacks.
